Walls to be washed down with clean water to remove dirt and debris from the walls -no wire brushing
All loose and flaking paint should be removed down to sound substrate using a paint scraper.
Pure acrylic mastic or coral Guard strate to be used as flexible joint filler to fill expansion joints
Ultra paint to cover hairline cracks
- STEEL WORKS PRIOR TO PAINTING
Surfaces to be cleaned thoroughly abraded and free of loose particles
Surfaces to be dry and free of dirt ,dust, grease and salt contamination
To be cleaned with galvanised lron cleaner and rinsed thoroughly with water to achieve a water break -free surface
Remove dry red rust with scouring pads or sanding back to bright metal
Spot prime areas where rust has been removed with COAST COTE ETCH PRIME RED OXIDE
Prime the entire surface with GALVOGRIP METAL PRIMER
OLD PAINT IN GOOD CONDITION
Loose and flaking paint to be removed
Spot prime with the appropriate primer and clean
Clean paint work with polycell sugar soap solution and rinse thoroughly
Sand glossy enamel areas to matt finish
